Apple Reportedly Will Launch a 7K Mini-LED Monitor at the End of 2022

Apple seems to be preparing to add new products to its line of external monitors.


After launching Studio Display, Apple is now reported to be releasing another high-end specs external monitor.

This report on the development of Apple's new external monitor comes from display industry analyst Ross Young. 

Last April 20, Ross Young wrote a tweet containing his latest supply chain analysis.

Ross Young's analysis results show that Apple will launch an external monitor measuring 27 inches.

Ross Young said the monitor with a mini-LED display panel will be present in October 2022.

He mentioned that the release of Apple's mini-LED monitor has been delayed due to COVID-19 issues at the Quanta production plant in Shanghai.

For information, the Quanta factory in Shanghai was affected by the lockdown policy so that it did not allow employees to carry out the production process. 

Ross Young mentioned that 's mini-LED Apple should be released in June 2022.

However, due to production issues at the Quanta Shanghai factory, the launch of Apple's mini-LED monitor had to be delayed to October 2022.

Ross Young wrote that Apple has moved production processes to Quanta factories in other regions. 


Leaks about the presence of Apple's mini-LED monitor were also revealed by Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

Kuo mentioned that Apple's new mini-LED monitor will be aimed at professionals.

The monitor will have a resolution of 7K with high refresh rates.

Kuo said that this mini-LED monitor will replace the Pro Display XDR product which was launched in 2019. 

However, it should be noted that Apple still hasn't confirmed the rumors about the development of a monitor with this mini-LED panel.
