Meta Changes its Privacy Policy, Don't Want To Take User Data Anymore?

Meta continues to strive to provide a healthy ecosystem across its social media platforms.

One of Meta's recent efforts is to make changes to its Privacy Policy.

Recently, Meta proudly said that the company will not be collecting user data in any new way.

Reporting from the official Meta blog post, Meta has made changes to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy that make it easier for users to understand the products and services offered by Meta.

In addition, Meta also updated the Privacy Center with a more user-friendly user-interface.

Articles on the official Meta blog also try to reassure users that Meta will not collect users' personal data in a new way.

However, Meta still maintains the "old way" of collecting user data.

According to The Verge (via 9to5mac ), the fact that Facebook is continuing its many data collection practices is disappointing.

John Davisson of the Privacy revealed that the new UI interface makes it easier for users to understand 's privacy policy Meta .

" Facebook has funneled user data at an industry scale into a broad, targeted advertising ecosystem," Davisson said.

By simplifying dozens of privacy policy pages, users are expected to find it easier to understand.

This shows that Meta strives to implement policy transparency for all its users.

Some time ago, Facebook discontinued some of Facebook's location-based features, including the "Nearby Friends" and "Location History" features.

Both of these features previously collected the user's location when the app was running in the background.

However, Facebook continues to collect claimed location data for a better social media experience.
