Apple's New Cheap iPad Will Switch to USB-C

new product Apple simply called the iPad, has finally got a much-needed tech feature. Sources 9to5Mac claim Apple's base-level tablet will switch from a Lightning port to USB-C when it launches this year.

This iPad will have a Retina display with the same 1640x2360 resolution as the iPad Air. However, support for color quality and high brightness will remain exclusive to the more expensive tablets in Apple's lineup.

Even so, you can still connect directly to monitors and other peripherals and increase wired data transfer speeds. Apple will also equip the new iPad with the fourth-generation A14 Bionic Air chip and introduce 5G support to the cellular variant.

It's not clear whether Apple will update the iPad's design or not, including support for the second-generation Magic Keyboard or Pencil.

The base iPad is the last model to use Lightning, the home button, and other features that have been around for a decade or more. It's still unclear when the new low-cost iPad will be introduced, but if it fits into Apple's product launch schedule, it will appear at the iPhone launch event in late 2022.(*)
