Beware of the Impact of the Rare Micro New Moon Phenomenon Flanked by 2 Supermoons
6/11/2022
The rare phenomenon of micro a new moon which will be flanked by two supermoons will occur in the period June-July 2022.
A researcher at the LAPAN Research and Space Center of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Andi Pangerang Hasanuddin, said that from June 14 to July 14, there will be two supermoons near the micro new moon.
"Super full moon ( supermoon ) and micro new moon ( micro new moon ) that occur in June-July occur every nine years," Andi said to The Newbie News, Thursday (9/6/2022).
supermoon in the period June-July 2022 will be present on June 14, 2022. full This June supermoon is also known as the strawberry supermoon .
Meanwhile, supermoon will occur on July 14, 2022, which is called the full back moon .
In simple terms, the phenomenon that will occur is that the supermoon coincides with the strawberry full moon (14 June 2022), the micro new moon coincides with the strawberry new moon (29 June 2022), which then ends with the supermoon phenomenon coincides with the deer full moon (14 July 2022) .
"Even (specially again) this time the new micro moon is flanked by two super full moons ( supermoons ) that occur in two consecutive months," he said.
The impact of a micro new moon flanked by two supermoons
Andi explained that the impact rare phenomenon phenomena supermoon , full moons or micro new moons in general.
"Just like the full moon phase and the new moon phase in general, super strawberry full moon, micro strawberry new moon and super deer full moon can cause higher tides than usual days," he explained.
Tides occur two days before to two days after the peak of this phenomenon, which is between 27 June to 1 July 2022.
As is known, high tides are also known as full moon tides.
This is because, the Sun-Earth-Moon (or Sun-Moon-Earth) configuration is in line and causes each of the differential forces (tidal forces) generated by the Moon and Sun to have the same direction.
The direction of the differential is a pair, facing or in the same direction and back or opposite to the object that causes the force.
Even though the configuration of the Moon is in the opposite direction to the Sun as when there is a full moon, the differential forces generated by the Moon and the Sun have the same direction.
Andi explained, in general, the differential force of the full moon is 27-36 percent greater than during the neap tide, when compared to the same distance.
This configuration is also reinforced by the Moon reaching its closest point to Earth at a super strawberry and super deer moon, with a force increase of about 25.5 percent of the differential force at the Earth-Moon mean distance.
Even during a micro-strawberry new moon, the Moon reaches its furthest point on Earth; thus experiencing a force attenuation of about 15.5 percent of the differential force at the Earth-Moon average distance.
In the case of this micro-strawberry new moon, the differential force of the Moon during a micro new moon is 32 percent smaller than that of a super full moon, so the resultant force during a micro new moon is 3.6 - 3.7 percent smaller than that of a super new moon.
Thus, it is necessary to watch out for the highest sea tides on June 14 and July 14 2022, especially for fishermen and people who will be active in the waters.
Andi appealed to those who work as fishermen not to go to sea between two days before and two days after the peak of this phenomenon, which is between 12-16 June and 12-16 July 2022.
"This calculation only considers astronomical factors and does not consider sea waves caused by wind storms," he explained.
The astronomical tides on June 29, 2022 also need to be considered, because the ratio of the resultant force of the super full moon to the micro new moon (+1.32) is almost close to the ratio of the resultant force of the micro new moon to the micro new moon (+1.35).
In other words, the tidal force during a micro new moon is logarithmically equal to 52 percent of the tidal force during a super new moon.
Therefore, it is necessary to watch out for these sea tides between two days before and two days after the peak of this phenomenon, which is between 27 June to 1 July 2022.
