The story of Lo Kheng Hong when he bought a new stock, but the price immediately went up: I didn't chase it

Investor Lo Kheng Hong revealed the number of shares he collected when asked by the President Commissioner of PT Avia Avian Tbk (AVIA) Hermanto Tanoko in a podcast on his personal YouTube channel.
“How many shares did invest Mr. Lo More than 10?” asked Hermanto Tanoko to Lo Kheng Hong quoted Tuesday (14/6/2022).
“More than 10,” replied Lo Kheng Hong.
According to Lo Kheng Hong, the number of shares he collected was more than 10 because he had bought a stock several times. But, just bought, the stock immediately went up in price.
“So sometimes I buy stock A. I just bought it, I get a little, uh, it has gone up. I didn't chase it but stayed there," said Lo Kheng Hong.
"I have a lot of money, there's no way I want to buy it, just buy it, it goes up. So don't chase, sad to be left behind in the portfolio. I just bought B's stock, he flew up, so I didn't continue to buy so I was left behind there. So it's a lot," said Lo Kheng Hong.
"But, Mr. Lo's main shares whose long-term investments don't amount to 20-30?" continued Hermanto Tanoko's question.
"There are at least 10," added Mr. Lo, Lo Kheng Hong's nickname.
Furthermore, Hermanto Tanoko sought advice from Lo Kheng Hong for investors if they had Rp 500 million-Rp 1 billion in cash.
"If Mr. Lo can give advice to Friends of Success, who may have Rp 500 million or Rp 1 billion, how many issuers should you invest ?" said Hermanto Tanoko.
"They are like me, if we only have a small amount of Rp. 500 million, if we find a good and cheap stock, then we just drop all Rp. 500 million," said Lo Kheng Hong.
