PT Argha Karya Prima Industry Tbk (AKPI) has set a dividend for the 2021 fiscal year of IDR 30 billion or equivalent to IDR 49 per share.

Director of Argha Karya Jeyson Pribadi said the dividend distribution was in accordance with the decision of the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM) on June 23, 2022. Shareholders determined that 20.29% of net profit in 2021 would be distributed as cash dividends of Rp 49 per share or with a total of IDR 30 billion.

"Meanwhile, Rp 2.5 billion is set aside as a reserve fund and the rest is recorded as retained earnings which will be used to support the company's activities," he explained in a written statement, Friday (24/6/22). 

To note, during 2021, the company managed to record a 21.08 percent increase in net sales to Rp 2.7 trillion from the previous Rp 2.23 trillion. "This achievement exceeded 6.30% of the initial target set by the company for 2021," he said.
In the same year, Jeyson explained, the company won the Primaniyarta 2021 award in the "High-Tech Product Exporter" category. "This is an extraordinary appreciation for the company that will pump up the company's spirit to work even better to strengthen Indonesia's name in the global trade arena," he said.

Meanwhile, until the first quarter of 2022, the pioneer issuer of the flexible packaging industry in Indonesia managed to pocket a profit of Rp 122.37 billion or a 95.23 percent growth, compared to the same period last year of Rp 62.68 billion. The increase was in line with sales growth of 31.31% to Rp 839.62 billion from Rp 639.40 billion previously.
