The telecommunications operator Telkomsel has launched the Telkomsel Authentication Protection-Mobile Network Verification (TAP-MNV). This service is a cyber security solution aimed at the corporate segment.
The presence of this solution takes into account the huge potential for cyber crime in various digital industry sectors. This solution is considered to be able to help improve the security of digital information data in the corporate segment ( enterprise ), so that enterprise can improve their customer experience, especially in creating a safe and protected digital lifestyle ecosystem.
's Vice President of Enterprise Business Management Hanang Setiohargo said, through the TAP-MNV digital security solution, Telkomsel is trying to build a better security method than the One Time Password (OTP) method that is currently being applied by many companies in Indonesia.

He explained that TAP-MNV's digital security solution allows users to authenticate using URL via a telephone number (MSISDN) by utilizing the cellular operator's network in real-time . The TAP-MNV system will validate URL is only known by the device or merchant and TAP-MNV thus eliminating the interaction factor by the user for better security.

This technology is a form of implicit authentication by network operators and removes the two-step verification system which is still at risk of being hacked and quite time-consuming.
