In addition, there are scams that offer BCA credit card registration or change to a chip purpose of fraud on the BCA mobile application or BCA credit card.
"We have observed that recently cybercrime has been heard frequently along with the rapid development of digital," said Director of BCA Haryanto T. Budiman in a written statement, Wednesday (8/6/2022).
He explained that one type of cyber crime that often occurs is online with the appearance of advertisements on social media and asking for personal data, such as credit card numbers, personal identification numbers (PINs), and one-time passwords (OTP).
According to him, customers should be wary of this because BCA never asks for personal data in any form.
"Never give your personal data to anyone," said Haryanto.
In this regard, BCA has summarized the common fraud modes. First , get a call or WhatsApp from a number in the name of BCA and offer to upgrade to BCA Solitaire and Prioritas, apply for a BCA credit card or change to a chip card.
Second , when opening Instagram, customers get advertisements on Fake Instagram as if they were from an official BCA account and offer to upgrade to BCA Solitaire and Prioritas, apply for a BCA credit card or switch to a chip card.
BCA EVP Individual Customer Business Development, Adrianus Wagimin, added that BCA Solitaire and Prioritas customers are exclusive and invited members.
"Therefore, becoming a customer of BCA Solitaire and Prioritas, is not only based on the nominal deposit or customer savings at BCA," said Adrianus.
The following is BCA's appeal regarding the fraud mode to become a BCA Solitaire and BCA Prioritas customer
- Halo BCA's phone number is 1500888 without the prefix 021 or +62. Meanwhile, the official WhatsApp bank number for BCA is 0811500998 with a green tick.
- BCA's official Instagram account is only @GoodlifeBCA
- The official BCA website is www.bca.co.id and the BCA Solitaire and Prioritas website is www.prioritas.bca.co.id and the BYC Apps application. Anything other than this is definitely fake.
- BCA Solitaire and Prioritas membership can only be obtained through certain terms and conditions and an invitation from BCA directly through an official letter to the customer.
- If there are other parties who offer upgrade services to become BCA Solitaire and Prioritas customers through social media (Instagram, Facebook, or Whatsapp), it is definitely a fraud.
- Beware of fake links. Do not click or fill in personal data. BCA never asks customers to fill in personal data through any means, including links.
- Always maintain the confidentiality of personal data such as Debit or credit card numbers, PIN, CVV/CVC, OTP and others.
- If they find fake BCA accounts on Instagram ads, BCA customers can report to BCA's official Instagram account, @GoodlifeBCA or report them to Instagram so that the fraudulent account is suspended.
