PT Pradik Gunatama Tbk (PGUN), an oil palm plantation company, plans to buy a 2,000-hectare plantation.
Director of Finance Pradik Gunatama Tamlikho said the addition was aimed at boosting the production volume of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) and crude palm oil ( CPO).
"To smooth out the plan, the company has prepared funds of Rp 200 billion from bank loans," said Tamlikho in a PGUN public expose recently.
In addition, the company will increase the productivity of its palm oil processing mills by increasing capacity. It is hoped that with these efforts, the company's CPO production capacity will increase from 75 thousand tons per year to 113 thousand tons per year. The additional capacity is targeted to be completed by the end of this year.
To increase the production capacity, he explained, a budget of Rp 40 billion has been prepared for this year's capital expenditure.
As of the first semester of 2022, the company recorded an increase in net profit from Rp 43 billion to Rp 49 billion. Meanwhile, revenue grew 23 percent from Rp 399 billion to Rp 490 billion this year.
Meanwhile, the Corporate Secretary of Gunatama Prediction Muhammad Reza said, by the end of 2022, the company plans to merge with PT Senabangun Anekapertiwi and increase the capacity of the palm oil mill to 90 tons per hour from 60 tons per hour.
The company is also aiming for a net profit growth of 329.82 percent to reach Rp 165.14 billion this year, compared to last year's realization. "Meanwhile, this year's revenue is targeted to shoot up to Rp 1.04 trillion," he concluded.
