OPPO Reno8 series design leaks with thinner and elegant bezels
5/18/2022
OPPO Reno8 is said to be launching in China soon with a completely new design both front and back.
One design element that catches the eye of the OPPO Reno8 is the thinner bezels compared to its predecessor, the Reno7.
Not to mention the front design, the rear design and specifications are no less interesting.
Bezels are getting thinner
Through Iceuniverse's twitter, photos of the OPPO Reno8 Pro+ screen have circulated and show the bezel size or the black side of the screen that is getting thinner.
This image compares the bezel size of the OPPO Reno8 Pro+ with a number of its predecessors, namely OPPO Reno7 Pro and OPPO Reno6 Pro+.
One of the most visible changes is the part of the chin or the black bottom of the screen which is getting thinner, although the sides are no less thin than the previous generation.
The goal of making the bezel thinner can make the front display of the cellphone more attractive, elegant, and maximize the screen area compared to the body of the cellphone.
OPPO also made a significant change from the front of the Reno8 by moving the punch hole or the front camera hole.
From several previous generations, OPPO put a punch hole on the left side of the screen .
But in Reno8, especially the Reno8 Pro+, it was moved to the center of the screen, which several other HP brands have already done.
One of the advantages of the location of the camera hole on the side is that it can maximize the screen area better than in the middle.
However, placing the camera in the middle has become a common practice for a number of today's Android phones, which makes consumers finally get used to that position with minimal disturbance.
Design Changed A Lot
While on the back, the OPPO Reno8 makes quite a radical change compared to its predecessor generation.
At first glance, the rear panel design of the OPPO Reno8 series reminds us of the OPPO Find X5 which uses a camera protrusion that blends into the back panel of the cellphone without the commonly used 90-degree fracture.
In addition to giving a fresh impression, design also gives a more elegant impression on HP.
Although this design seems to only be present in one of the Reno8 variants, namely the standard version, Reno8.
When is Release?
So far, it has only been confirmed that the leaked OPPO Reno8 design circulating on the Internet is the version for the Chinese market.
OPPO in its home country is said to be releasing 3 models of Reno8, namely Reno8 Pro, Reno8, and Reno8 SE.
The standard version of Reno8 or what will be called "Reno8" is rumored to be the debut of the latest Snapdragon 7 gen 1 chipset, which is accompanied by a 50MP main camera and 80W charging.
Meanwhile, the highest model Reno8 with the Pro title uses a chipset that is no less fast, namely the Mediatek Dimensity 8100.
However, all of these issues will only be proven in its release in China later on May 23.
