Citayam Fashion Week has become a new subculture phenomenon that represents the creativity of young people. Pros and cons arise because of the increasing number of visitors, even discourse appears to relocate them.

Jakarta Deputy Governor Amad Riza Patria had time to find a more suitable location that would not disturb public order. When met at the city hall on Wednesday (27/7/2022), Ahmad Riza ensured that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government did not prohibit Citayem Fashion Week activities in the Dukuh Atas area, Central Jakarta. According to him, the fashion show event was considered full of innovation.

Ahmad Riza also responded to the police's proposal about Citayam Fashion Week which was held during Car Free Day (CFD), according to him CFD was the best solution than in the Dukuh Atas area.

A resident from Sukoharjo named Daniel Handoko Santoso also registered the Citayam Fashion Week brand with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham). Currently, Daniel still insists on registering the mark as an intellectual property right (HAKI).

To detikJateng, Daniel explained the reason why he still wanted to continue to register the mark. He claimed there was no intention to profit from the intellectual property.

"I keep moving forward. Because I purely want to help the Citayam Fashion Week friends. I'm not looking for profit from here at all," said Daniel when met by detikJateng in Solo, Thursday (28/7/2022).

He explained that his intention to register a brand was to be able to contribute his ideas and ideas to the Citayam Fashion Week actors. He was actually worried that if there were no parties who embraced the Citayam Fashion Week activists, then this moment would just disappear.

"With this, I want to participate in contributing my ideas to develop Citayam Fashion Week. Because if we leave it alone without anyone embracing it, I'm sure it will just disappear. Even though this has huge potential to advance our local brand. pull it out, it won't necessarily be held by people who care," he said.

He also suggested the Citayam Fashion Week activists to create an official forum. Through this container, Daniel is ready to release the brand if it is later approved by the Directorate General of Intellectual Property Rights of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights.

"You can make a kind of foundation. Like in Solo, there is the Batik Solo Carnival Foundation. So this activity can be held continuously, even supported by the government by closing the main road for the carnival. Even that name has also been registered with HAKI. this brand is free," he said.

However, Daniel also asked the government not to let go of this phenomenon. Instead, the government is asked to embrace them so that Citayam Fashion Week becomes a momentum for the revival of local fashion brands.

"I ask for the government's role in this so that there is no fighting over each other and chaos ensues. The government can't let them go their own way. They still need to be embraced so that the activity gets bigger. Like registering for intellectual property rights, they may still have difficulties, so I'm here help. Because there are still many entrepreneurs who do not understand this IPR problem," he said.

Daniel also emphasized that the current status of registration in HAKI has not yet been approved. The process still takes a long time.

"What the public needs to know is that the IPR registration process is a long process. It's not necessarily me who gets the mark. It may not be approved," he said.

As quoted from the Intellectual Property Database website, Wednesday (27/7/2022), the proponent of the Citayam Fashion Week brand was Daniel Handoko Santoso. Daniel lives on Jalan Adisucipto, Gonilan, Kartasura.

Daniel registered the Citayam Fashion Week brand for the 25th grade.

Daniel registered this application on July 24, 2022 with Application Number DID2022053127. Currently the application status is 'In Process'.

Previously, Baim Wong also applied for ownership of the Citayam Fashion Week brand. However, he later withdrew the proposal.
