Infobip Launches Data Center in Indonesia

Infobip, a cloud , has launched a data center in Indonesia, named ID1. Its presence in the country is to support digital cloud for local and multinational companies.
Located in West Java, the launch of the data service center is in line with the strategic direction of Digital Roadmap for 2021-2024 which aims to develop digital infrastructure and connectivity that is inclusive, secure, and reliable with high-quality services.
"The launch data center in Indonesia marks an important milestone since we entered the Indonesian market in 2016," said VP General Manager APAC and MENA - Infobip, Alma Numic, in a statement, Wednesday (22/6/2022).
According to him, it has grown to become hub for all business operations in each country by ensuring great visibility, useful connectivity and broad opportunities for clients and partners in various sectors.
Alma said he was happy that Infobip could provide an innovative digital ecosystem that could bring cloud and expertise to the Indonesian and Asia Pacific markets.
"With Infobip's track record of success in business communications globally, we hope to be able to create an inclusive and rich industrial environment to strengthen Indonesia's digital vision," he added.
Meanwhile, the ID1 facility is an extension of data centers spread throughout the world. This is evidenced by application productivity changes more than 1,500 times a day and more than 20,000 client messages per second, with data transfer rates of more than 4.5 Gbps connected to data centers around the world.
The sophistication data center is also claimed to offer a complete range of collocation , interconnection, and support for various secure digital ecosystems.
In addition, the data center will improve the capabilities of Infobip's CPaaS and SaaS services, ranging from voice, email , SMS and chat to as a service products, such as Conversayion (Contact Center as a Service), Moments (Marketing Automation), Answers ( Chatbot), and Customer Data Platform (CDP).
Going forward, the service will provide comprehensive service benefits for customers from various industries, including retail, banking-financial services and insurance (BFSI), logistics, food and beverage, fintech , telemedicine, and public sector companies in Indonesia.
Security
Meanwhile, protection and data localization as well as security and privacy are Infobip's top priorities. Infobip also ensures compliance with local regulations regarding the Domestic Component Level (TKDN).
In addition, the ID1 facility complies with international standards, including ISO 9001 for quality management systems, ISO 27001 for information security management systems, Threat and Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (TVRA), and TÜV Rheinland IT Compliance for PCI DSS.
Infobip's superiority as a cloud has also been proven by a large global analyst firm because it has been named a leader in Omdia Universe as a CPaaS Platform Provider in 2022.
