MrBeast Becomes the Most Successful YouTuber in 2021, Pockets IDR 772 Billion
Jimmy Donaldson alias Mr Beast leads the list with a profit of 54 million US dollars or IDR 772 billion throughout 2021.
Donaldson takes over from Ryan Kaji, a YouTube creator known for his toy unboxing content.
Ryan Kaji previously continued to appear in the first position of the Forbes list in the last three years.
According to Forbes , the list of 10 YouTubers as a whole earned around 300 million US dollars or Rp. 4.2 trillion during 2021. This figure is up 40 percent from the previous year.
"Most of this revenue comes from the number of views on their respective YouTube channels and the ads (Adsense) they generate from that content," Forbes said, quoted from Social Media Today , Monday (17/1/2022).
The report also reveals that creators have a side income apart from YouTube.
For example, they earn from platforms such as Twitch, Snap, Facebook, podcasts (Siniar), non-fungible tokens (NFT), to businesses such as hamburgers.
It should be noted, these are not official income figures. Forbes uses various sources to release earnings figures such as from Captiv8, SocialBlade, Pollstar, as well as interviews with people closest to the industry.

- Like Nastya – 28 million US dollars or Rp. 400 billion
- Ryan Kaji (Ryan's World) – 27 million US dollars or IDR 386 billion
- Dude Perfect – 20 million US dollars or IDR 286 billion
- Logan Paul – 18 million US dollars or IDR 257 billion
- Preston – 16 million US dollars or IDR 229 billion
